Desroches Island Resort is located on the private Desroches Island, a 45 minute flight from Mahe. When you land on the airstrip you will be met and proceed on foot to the resort. Your luggage is taken ahead of you and the walk is a maximum of five minutes - it is a refreshing way to have a 'hotel transfer'!
Desroches Island Resort offers supreme comfort, and yet is a very relaxed and unpretentious. There are two different types of accommodation, 20 junior suites and 28 luxury four bed villas, all situated on the beaches on the northwest side of the island.
The 20 junior suites are set just back from the beach under coconut palms. Each suite is finished to a high standard with polished wooden floors, cream linens and brown fabrics, large paintings and lamps and views of the gardens and sea. Not a comfort has been overlooked with twin or double beds, satellite television, air-conditioning and sun-loungers and chairs on the terrace. The en suite bathrooms have twin basins, and wonderful outdoor showers and claw footed baths with views of the sky.
