While the primary draw of this charming village along the Garden Route remains the beautiful Knysna Lagoon, there is far more to see in this charismatic village known as Knysna. Throughout its forests, discover a myriad of walking and mountain biking trails, each of which offer splendid views of the ocean and beyond. With a bit of observation, you may even spot the elusive and brilliantly plumed Knysna loerie, or on rare occasion, the outrageously colored and extremely shy Narina trogon.
Beyond Knysna’s scenic lagoon, delight in the quaint shops, galleries, restaurants and coffeehouses of the downtown. And, no visit to Knysna would be complete without a sampling of the decadent oysters for which the town is known.
