South Africa's Cape Town

City Bowl

Located on the western shore of Cape Town, the City Bowl is the city center so named for the table topped massif in its background, the jagged Devil’s Peak to the east, and the embracing arm of Signal Hill at its west. Along these slopes, find a delightful array of exquisite accommodations, each boasting a private view north overlooking the city center and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Within striking distance of this popular waterfront, the City Bowl is a convenient location from which to explore the Winelands and Cape Town’s beaches, as well as the delightful selection of fine restaurants that flavor this city center.

Cutting the city in half, find the historic Adderley Street. Once the favored address of the city’s leading families, Adderley Streets serves primarily as the city’s main thoroughfare, dividing the City Bowl into east and west. On the western side, find some of the city’s finest shopping located along Long Street and St. George’s Mall. Greenmarket Square is a lively flea market, where unique purchases are best followed by a lovely cup of coffee from one of the surrounding cafes.
