Tanzania
"The roaring lion kills no game"

Tanzania's Southern Sector

Selous Game Reserve

The raw wilderness of this lush southern game reserve is characterized by the many rivers that cross its bounds. Crossed by both the Great Ruaha and the Kilombero Rivers as they flow into the Rufiji, the Selous Game Reserve is home to a delightful array of natural wonder.

Watch the great herds of buffaloes as they cross the savannah, or search for the other unique species that reside within this massive reserve. While the elephants that once roamed the land in abundance are slowly, but steadily, making a recovery, hippos still populate the land in the masses and any visit to Rufiji River will offer its fair share of viewing.
