Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Measuring 20km across, the Ngorogoro Crater is one of the largest calderas in the world as well as one of the most stunning panoramas in Tanzania. Around the crater find a lush tropical forest brimming with wildlife, while at the lip of the crater view pockets of clouds cling to the lip as if they were snow.
With more than 30000 animals housed within the park’s bounds, no visit is without its fair share of visual highlights. Watch from the crater as elephants resemble ants as they wander in and out of the crater. Just outside the crater find the equally spectacular sight of the Olduvai Gorge.
