Mount Meru
Dwarfed by neighboring Kilimanjaro, this volcano is none the less enticing. Accessed by a road lined with a profusion of wildflowers, Mt. Meru is a breathtaking adventure all in itself.
While relatively small in regards to the size of its mammoth neighbor, the hike to Meru’s peak still requires three days and the assistance of a guide. Yet, the stunning view of the sheer cliffs rising to the summit as seen from the rim of Meru Crater immediately proves well worth the hike.
