Rwenzori Mountains National Park
At the extreme western edge of Uganda, only 25km from Kasese, find the remarkable setting of the Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Designated a World Heritage Site for its outstanding beauty, the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” rise into seemingly permanent equatorial mists, while their slopes bathe in a carpet of curiously designed and notably large vegetation.
Six of the mountains wear a permanent shawl of snow, while three remain blanketed with glaciers. Discover the mist shrouded jagged crags of Mount Margherita and the surrounding peaks that make this “Lord of the Rings” settings one of the most unique in Uganda.
